        Orbit Downloader 是一款具有許多功能性的下載工具，它跟眾所皆知的迅雷軟體一樣的採用了P2P方式加速，下載的速度恐怕已經不下於迅雷了。而他獨到之處乃在於對於流媒體協議的友善支援，這使得他在網路上下載各式網路媒體體顯得相當順暢，如今他更有創意的開發全新的介面來支援所謂的Web2.0的網路音樂、網路影片..等，對於媒體下載的功能面顯得更為強大了。加上他與各主流瀏覽器的可搭配性，以及對於許多免費空間的支援下載功能，這已經使得Orbit Downloader越來越受到重視，不管是一般性的檔案下載或者新一代的流媒體下載，它都能夠以獨特設計讓下載速度更為順暢，當然重要的是這麼強大的軟體，它依然免費、也沒有任何廣告。

比較可惜的是，若你使用攜帶式的Firefox(火狐)的話，那麼 Orbit Downloader將無法偵測到該瀏覽器，相對的Firefox也無法偵測到免安裝版的Orbit Downloader下載工具，這點相較於Internet Download Manager與迅雷的話就顯得相容性較差囉!!這也是我個人一直無法將它納為主力下載工具的重要原因。
